I have been taking piano lessons at Presto Studios for five years, and I am currently working at the Grade 3 level. While I have always been a generally strong student, my biggest challenge when I first started was learning how to play confidently on stage. Because I set such strict targets for myself, I used to get very emotional—and even cry—if I couldn’t perfectly complete my homework or meet my own high standards. However, over the years, I have grown tremendously. I have built strong technical and musical fundamentals, and I have evolved into a much more confident and independent learner who knows how to manage my goals.
